Home Page
I designed the home page hero with his signature as the loading animation. My dad designs high-end custom homes and kitchens so I wanted to create a buttery smooth, signature feel right away. Home page includes a nice profile section introducing him to prospective clients. I had him record a little welcome message that people can listen to. A huge part of my dad's appeal is the confidence that comes through when he talks about his work. Wanted to capture a bit of that on the home page.
Project Detail Pages
Project detail pages are an immersive gallery experience designed to highlighting the images of finished work. Something else I wanted to create here was a sense of the incredibly personalized service my dad delivers to his clients. To accomplish this, I named each of the projects based on the first name of the client.
I also had my dad record design commentary audio for each project so prospective clients can hear him talk through his design approach, key challenges, and overall reflections of each project. So far this has been a huge hit with new clients that have visited his website. They say its been tremendously confidence-inspiring to get a real sense of how my dad approaches his work and handles the inherent complexities of each job.
Really proud of the mobile experience. Especially the menu animations. I choreographed each element to create a nice flowing, cascading effect on both open and close. The only additions we made to the sitemap beyond his project portfolio is the contact page, and a process page so clients can get a fairly high resolution idea of what to expect when working with my dad.
We even made available for download full examples of architectural design drawings. This has so far proven to be effective at showing the sheer level of detail my dad includes in his work. He is favoured at building departments and known with builders all over Ontario for his incredibly detailed drawing packages.
